This is the case with innovations from Apple. The competition starts with mocking them and ends with imitating them. The latest inspiration for Android smartphone makers is the dynamic island of the iPhone 14 Pro.
There’s nothing to be done, generations of smartphones replace each other… and look the same. Or rather, it finally looks like an iPhone. It can be said that Apple’s mobile phones have set trends in this field, and they have done so since the first iPhone was released fifteen years ago. Today it is a dynamic island that arouses the desire of customers all over the world. Thanks to him, the iPhone 14 Pro has become so successful that Galaxy S22 Ultra users are changing their smartphones. So it’s safe to say that Android smartphone manufacturers will soon offer their own version of this new type of interactive slot.
The Chinese brand Xiaomi may introduce an interactive island in its new Redmi K60 smartphone for a fraction of the price of the iPhone 14 Pro. In this regard, the company does not really hide its intention to copy Apple. In fact, Lu Weibing, its CEO, asked members of the Chinese social network Weibo if they wanted to get some kind of dynamic island on the upcoming Redmi K60. Reviews are clearly divided, with some users appreciating the feature, while others don’t want to use it at all.
REDMI K60 can offer a dynamic island at a fraction of Apple’s price
Whatever the opinions, MIUI developers have already started developing their own version of Dynamic Island. Although Apple’s new smartphones are now making headlines and some of their features are expected to be copied, Xiaomi devices still have some technical things to work out.
The Redmi K60 is rumored to be 5G ready. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor and will be offered depending on the market with 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Also, you will have to choose between 128GB or 256GB of storage space. It will run on Android 12 and its Super AMOLED screen will have a diagonal of 6.7 inches. It will have a triple rear camera module (64MP, 8MP and 5MP resolution) and a 20MP selfie camera. The price is expected to range between 420 and 530 dollars. Its marketing history remains a mystery.
