Moreover, it inhibits the kidney’s ability to remove toxins from the body, and more toxins in the body can lead to health problems.

Eating too much salt in the diet can cause serious damage to the kidneys and other organs. The kidneys metabolize about 95% of dietary sodium. If there is too much salt in our diet, the kidneys have to work harder to excrete the excess salt. This in turn reduces kidney function.
