DreamWorks Launches Kids and Family Entertainment Channel in France


NBCUniversal International Networks and direct-to-consumer network to launch A dream joba 24-hour channel for kids and family entertainment.

DreamWorks is distributed both online and as an on-demand service SFR, the French telco group, is on French television. This service is available to all SFR subscribers.

“We’re thrilled that DreamWorks is now available in more than 40 countries, and we’re bringing our beloved DreamWorks characters to France for the first time in a channel with SFR,” said Jennifer Lawlor, SVP, DreamWorks Animation International, NBCUniversal International. Network and Direct to Consumers.

“This debut in France and the launch of the channel in Latin America and Brazil in 2022 build on the continued expansion of the channel’s recent launches in Africa, India and Australia,” continued Lawlor.

This latest launch will expand DreamWorks to 43 territories, reaching 35 million households. Earlier this year, DreamWorks hit Mexico, Chile and Brazil. The group previously had operations in Africa, Australia and India, and has expanded its reach in Asia by signing new partnership agreements in Hong Kong, the Philippines and Thailand.

DreamWorks’ slate of content includes The Adventures of Puss in Boots, King Julien and Dawn of Man, and has starred on the big screen in its own award-winning series. All programming is translated into the local language.
