Variety Announces Inaugural Family Entertainment Awards


Various The inaugural Family Entertainment Awards Dinner presented by Kidoodle.TV will be held in Los Angeles on December 8th. This year’s awards will be presented at an invitation-only event for achievements in executive leadership, creative storytelling and the development of entertainment franchises that connect with fans of all ages.

Celebrations are connected VariousThe Family Entertainment Impact Report highlights the executives, creators and talent who will make a significant impact on the family entertainment ecosystem in 2022.

The evening’s program includes an award ceremony for this year’s honorees Various Pete Docter, chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, was presented with the Leadership Award for his dedication to excellence in storytelling for the animation studio, which has produced 26 feature films and numerous shorts, from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story. 1995.

LeVar Burton will receive the Narrative Vision Award in recognition of his legacy of educating children and their families.

The Cobra Kai series will receive the Storytelling Vision Award for its all-family program, presented by creators and executive producers Josh Heald, John Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and show star Xolo Maridueña. Cobra Kai is produced by Sony Pictures for Netflix.

Kidoodle.TV will present the Family Entertainment Safe Streaming Hero Award to Julian Shapiro-Barnum, creator and host of Recess Therapy.

Various SpongeBob SquarePants will be honored with the Franchise Award, celebrating the outstanding achievements of a variety of animated films, including television, film, toys, merchandise, and more.

Kidoodle.TV is highlighting three charities for this event: Baby2Baby, Mamas for Mamas and The Dream Machine. Kidoodle.TV is helping Baby2Baby provide winter essentials to vulnerable families and has committed to feeding 10 of the organization’s most at-risk families throughout the year. Kidoodle.TV is partnering with Mamas For Mamas to support the Dream Machine by providing monthly support to their most at-risk families and feeding 10 families for an entire year.
