Variety’s Entertainment Summit at CES Returns In-Person Jan. 6


Various is back with the popular Entertainment Summit CES On January 6th at the Aria Theater in Las Vegas, see firsthand how new technologies and innovations are shaping the future of film, television, digital media, gaming and more. The event will be chaired by Pirlena Igbokwe, Chairman of Universal Studio Group; and Mark D’Amelio, executive producer, star of “The D’Amelio Show” and founder of D’Amelio Brands; Dixie D’Amelio, digital creator, music artist, star of “The D’Amelio Show” and co-founder of D’Amelio Brands.

Igbokwe will talk about his creative and strategic vision for the four studios he oversees: Universal Television, UCP, Universal Television Alternative Studio and Universal International Studios, bringing together nearly 120 projects across more than 25 platforms worldwide.

The D’Amelio family will discuss how they are expanding their content creation and large social following into new initiatives like D’Amelio Brands. Mark is an entrepreneur with 10 million followers on TikTok; Dixie is a musician with over 625 million streams to date and over 100 million followers across platforms.

Additional speakers include Malik Ducard, Chief Content Officer, Pinterest; Sarah Henry, head of content, influencers and merchandising at Walmart; Debra O’Connell, President – Networks, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution; Krishan Bhatia, Chief Business Officer, NBCUniversal; Liz Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer, Hello Sunshine; and Richard Oppy, VP of global brands, Anheuser-Busch.
