PHOENIX – Ashland finished with three championships and four runner-up performances to highlight Friday’s Phoenix Invitational wrestling tournament at the Pirates’ gymnasium.

Heavyweight Jack Bauer, 138-pounder Perrin Helsel and 106-pounder Ollie Teagarden were undefeated in the Grizzlies’ seven-scholastic tournament, while teammates Mo Kluberspice (160), Will Downs (170), Alan Helsel (182) and Kekoa Kaho were undefeated. . Okulana (285) each placed second.

Crater picked up two titles behind the efforts of Isaiah Voorhees (160) and Tyler Hathaway (220), while Mike Diaz (106), Haeden Durigello (126), Moses Cain (132) and Tyler Fitzgerald (138) finished second.

Host Phoenix was able to secure a title shot from Marcelo Camargo at 182 pounds, while teammate Jose Espinoza was runner-up at 220 pounds.

Illinois Valley led the field with seven championships in 14 weight classes.
