1. After Josh Allen went 22-of-33 for 223 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-10 win over the Patriots on Thursday night, he had an eventful backstage/tunnel/locker room meeting. – I don’t know what to call it.
After watching a game with New England owner Robert Kraft, Jay-Z came down to mingle with the enemy.
The rapper/mogul spotted Bills, Gabe Davis and Allen and chatted with the players.
Jay-Z hugged Allen, who was indeed a legal brother, but later revealed that the guard thought he might not know who Jay Allen was.
While we appreciate Allen’s attempt at modesty, there is no truth to it. Jay-Z is a legitimate sports fan, so he’ll know the best or second-best quarterback in the NFL. Plus, Jay-Z just spent three hours watching Allen tear apart the Patriots.
However, this angle shows that Jay-Z recognized Davis before Allen and called Davis out, so Jay-Z was probably more excited to meet Davis than Allen.
Or maybe Jay just didn’t want to blame Allen for stopping and talking.
2. Bill Belichick had a bad word when New England’s Nick Faulk missed a field goal late in the first half of the Bills-Patriots game. The best part was Al Michaels’ reaction after reading Belichick’s lips.
