Lehigh returns to action on Saturday against Drexel


BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women’s swimming and diving team returns to action after a two-week layoff Saturday against Drexel in Philadelphia at 10:30 a.m.

The Mountain Falcons are coming off a monster game against Lafayette, beating the Panthers 219-80. Lehigh starts the season 4-1.

Drexel is 2-0 after wins over La Salle and Seton Hall.

Lehigh came home with 14 first downs against the Panthers. Sarah Hardy Won three individual events: 200-yard butterfly (1:59:32), 100-yard butterfly (55.49) and 200-yard IM (2:05.71).

The Mountain Hawks faced the Dragons last year. Drexel beat Lehigh 195-105.

The Mountain Hawks are 16-12 all-time against the Dragons.



Hardy also finished first in both contests against the Dragons last year. The senior won the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard IM.

Second course Sarah Gill undefeated in the season. Last year, he took sixth place in this competition.

This will be the last meeting for the Mountain Hawks until Jan. 13, when they take on Seton Hall in West Orange and NJ Lehigh in the finals before winter break begins.
