Olly Murs hopes to get married next summer.
The ‘Die of a Broken Heart’ singer has revealed he wants to walk down the aisle with his bodybuilder fiancee Amelia Tank as soon as possible.
“This is the plan,” he said in an interview with “Heat” magazine [to get married next year]. We hope to get married next summer.
“It’s going to be a busy year, but we’re excited.
“I just want to marry Amelia—I love her so much, you know?
“Marriage is not something I fear. I’m excited about it.”
The 38-year-old pop star is also excited about starting a family in the future.
Asked if the couple had any plans to have children, he said: ‘Amelia and I are clearly at where we are in our lives and yes, it would be wicked to have children if we could!
“We’re not trying to have a baby, so we don’t know if it’s possible.
“But it’s going to be great in the future.”
The ‘Heart Skips a Beat’ hitmaker, who met his 30-year-old fitness fan at the gym, popped the question after three years of dating during a romantic getaway in June.
He captioned the video of the couple hugging while climbing a mountain: “06.04.2022 [engagement ring emoji] Amelia tank [white love heart emoji].”
Ollie previously revealed that the couple will be getting married in Devon, south-west England, as Amelia is from Plymouth.
He said, “I don’t think anyone has broken the relationship with Amelia. I think it’s signed and sealed, as Stevie Wonder said.”
Asked if wedding bells were ringing, she said: “To be honest, he’s from Devon and if we’re going to get married, it will be.”
Amelia moved in with Ollie in April 2020, just before the COVID-19 lockdown, and she believes that isolating together has made their relationship stronger.
She added: “I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else right now. Lockdown made us stronger – we loved each other’s company.
“I just adore him and I think we just have that thing where we want the best for each other.”
