Sports Roundtable: Successful Women’s Soccer Season, Phil Knight Invites with MSU Basketball Teams


Nick Lundberg and hockey reporter Maddie Warren talk about the women’s soccer team and their successful season as the team closes out the season with a game against TCU. Lundberg and Warren discuss new head coach Jeff Hossler’s great attempt to rebuild the football team. Warren then discussed her early coverage of the volleyball team and what to expect from new coach Leah Johnson and the team.

Lundberg and Warren then moved on to basketball, hockey and football. The pair kicked off the Phil Knight Tournament in Portland with a match between the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Lundberg then updated the status of the team and mentioned the recent success of the Warren hockey team. Lundberg and Warren then discussed the incident between teammate Jagger Joshua and the Ohio State teammate and their thoughts on the Big Ten’s decision.

Lundberg and Warren finally talked about the football team, which ended the season with a loss against Penn State. Lundberg also mentioned the Michigan tunnel incident and an update on the Big Ten’s decision. Warren offered his thoughts on the football team’s next steps.
